Description:    
Full-length standing portrait of the Duchess of Portland (1863-1954) leaning against a white marble mantlepiece. She wears a white satin gown with a standing collar and a red velvet cloak. Strands of pearls festoon across her corsage from a pearl brooch. She wears bracelets and rings and holds a book in her left hand.
