Three-quarter-length seated portrait of Mrs. William George Raphael (1871-1925) leaning with her right elbow resting on the arm of the chair in which she sits. With her right hand she fingers a turquoise and diamond necklace. She wears a white chiffon gown. Books are on a small round table at left.
